Your new site is lovely.
How exciting!
We empower the evil when we keep the secrets. Thanks for Painted Dresses. Finally freedom to step out and breath the fresh air. Can’t wait for The Pirate Queen.
Great new site, Patricia! all the bells and whistles work and it was a delight to spend a few moments with you and your readers. Keep writing. Jane
I just finished fallen angels and likes it very much; such a good story; it was my first book by Patricia. I checked the next book in that series; nazareth’s song at the library. I read about patricia on Kathy patrick’s website. I look forward to more books by her. I live in Lincolnton,N.C. and i think she is from N.C. Veronica
Dear Patricia,
Was so happy to read your invitation on CL because I’m in the throes of designing my website now. Hope I’ll have a similar invitation to send soon.
Your homepage made me say Wow! it really is gorgeous. Subsequent pages look great, but are difficult to read. Did you mean for the copy to be printed over the book or is that a glitch?
Best wishes,
Donna
Would love to win your books to read .I do enjoy reading ALOT.Thank-You for you time .Dana M Spille
Patricia,
Hi. If you have written books through Steeple Hill or Heartsong Presents, then I have read your books. I have not read any of the book that you show on your website. However, they all look worthy of my time to relax, be toasty warm and have a good read. Am looking forward to reading them. Would love to win the prize. Thanks and have a Happy Thanksgiving and a Christ filled Christmas.
Your FB friend, Debbie
I would love to be entered in your new contest. I love all of your books, but haven’t had the chance to read “Painted Dresses” yet. My most favorite book of yours would be “Fallen Angels” because it shows how we all are lost and searching for something and we come together and make new friends. When we put it all in the Lord’s hands that is when it gets interesting.
Love your books.

Painted Dresses touched me deeply, as you know. I have loaned the book out, but if I win one, I will pass it on to my sister. I’m looking forward to reading more books by PH!
Painted Dresses is my favorite. It is an amazing journey for any abuse victim wanting to “escape the torture” with the help of women;sister, mother’s, aunts, friends. All Women.
I just finished the 2nd book in millwood hollow series, nazareth’s song; it was so good; now i can’t wait to read whisper town. I thought there were 3 and just discovered there are 4. I am looking forward to all of them. I am just wanting Jeb and everyone to be a happy family.I also love the spirituality in the books. Veronica Mackinnon
I think the first books I read are still my favorites! I am speaking of the Land of the Far Horizon series. If I had to pick a favorite from those 5, I would have to choose book 2 – Angel of the Outback. The main character in that book was very compelling in her love for the Saviour and her selfless service to others.
2nd favorite would be The Touch – a beautiful story of redemption!
I live in Rockwell, NC
I havent read any of your books, but would love to. I live alone at this time and reading is one of the things I am getting into. It will be really great to win the box and read your books. I can see by the other coments , people enjoy them.
I have not read any of your work yet, but am looking forward to reading Painted Dresses. Merry Christmas.
I love Fallen Angels. I fell in love with Jeb and the Welby kids!! It is a wonderful story and I can’t wait to read the rest!!

What a thrill to know that you have a new book coming out!
I have enjoyed every single book you have written. I especially like the Millwood Hollow Series. I gave the set to my friend who visits a nursing home frequently, and she read the series to them!! She said that they couldn’t wait for her next visit to find out what was happening next!
And, after reading the Land of the Far Horizon, I bought a set for her, and she is thrilled with the set.
Thank you for your gift to us.

WHOOOO!! GO PATTY. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and an even better Christmas.
God Bless
I loved hearing you speak tonight at Willowbrook in Huntsville, AL. I found you to be so real, honest and funny! I am reading Katrina’s Wings and the first lines of the novel pulled me into the story – I can’t wait for more! I am also, looking forward to reading The Pirate Queen.
(I will post the photos I took at Willowbrook onto your Facebook page as soon as I can.)
I love everything you create–you are such a talented writer! The Fallen Angels series is terrific and I wish Hallmark would make it into one of their great movies, but I think my favorite title is Katrina’s Wings. Love it! Thank you for all you do and give to your readers.
One of my favorites is Sandpebbles. As soon as I picked this beautiful book up I knew it was a keeper and one to pass on to my sweet friends.Through this beautiful story of Marsh, I learned the value of letting go and letting God. As she lost her husband, she lost so much of her peace and herself, but with the grace of God she gained it back. I have read so many of your books, and I cannot wait to read your latest. Thank you for giving so much, Robin Prate
Favorite so far is Earthly Vows but just getting started!
I LOVE all of Patti’s novels and even have a link to her website on my facebook page. I have to say that my all time favorite book is “Fallen Angels”. The plot was unexpected and the story was well written. The characters were believable and endearing. I couldn’t wait for the sequel! Ann Droy, Baton Rouge, La.
I am thrilled and so blessed to have won the Bif Christmas Give. That made my day and even my week when i read the e-mail. I am looking forward to reading all the books. Hi Patty! Just wanted to say hey and I hope that you guys are all having a merry christmas, We miss you in clemmons!
mom, dad, and taylor all say hey as well
First, your name got my attention. I am from Cleburne County, Arkansas and there were Hickmans near us. I don’t remember any relationship but back then “everyone was related to everybody else” or so it seemed.
The first series of books that I read included Fallen Angels and Nazareth’s Song. Loved every one. Knew many of the places mentioned.
Books I read mostly come from the public library since my income is “fixed” and low. The last one of your books I read was Painted Dresses. Interesting.
Thanks for sharing your books with all of us out here who wish we, too, could “write” but somehow can’t.
Verna
I’m looking forward to getting to know you through your books and through Facebook.
Patricia, I have just read SAND PEBBLES.
In your Author’s Note at the end of the book you tell of the accident claiming the life of your daughter, Jessica Nicole Hickman. You have my deepest sympathies.
It is so difficult to give up a child, no matter what age the child is.
In March of 2004 my daughter, Karen (age 54) died. I have no doubt she is with our Heavenly Father but parting is not easy. Her faith and her witness was beautiful.
After her death I read verses in the Bible that I had read many times before without realizing their significance. The one I love the most is Psalm 139:16 “When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (NIV)
Thank you for your Christian writings. It is my prayer that those of you who write Christian Fiction will reach many unsaved people. Also, that your writings will inspire a lot of us who are Christians to have a closer walk with Christ and increase the strength of our witness for Him.

Enjoyed your blogpost “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to my Story.”
I have finished all the books in the millwood hollow series and loved the story and hated for them to end. I miss Jeb and the children and all of them. I also read the touch a couple weeks ago and loved it also. I was so delighted to meet Patty in davidson tues. night. Two of my friends from my little bookclub came also. It was a fun evening with many ladies who share their love for her books and God. Veronica Mackinnon
Hi Patty,
I would like to enter your ROMANCING THE READER’S VALENTINE GIVE. To me I liked how Jeb & Fern love the Lord and try to do His will. To me that is romancing. Nothing is better than the love of the Lord.
Thanks
Wanda Chamberlain

I, too, have a strong background and commitment to underserved people, so I’m ecstatic that you can find use for one of my novels. Whisper Town was written toward compassion, and I hoped it would spur others on to compassionate involvement. Of course, you have my full permission to use it as you find it useful.
And to you also, a big kudo for responding with Christ’s love to those who need it so badly,

I would really love to win the Valentine contest.Thank you for writing such great books.
Hey, great blog…but I don’t understand how to add your site in my rss reader. Can you Help me, please
I would have to say by far my favorite couple is Fern and Jeb, but not for the reasons that most people would think. I love how their relationship blossomed with time and wasn’t always easy. Most true love is complicated, and they definitely had their share of hardships in their courtship. That’s what makes true love so romantic; it perseveres and it endures.
Looking forward to reading your work.
Fern and Jeb would have to be my pick as my favorite couple. Jeb finally won Fern’s hand in marriage (and her heart!) but it wasn’t an easy thing to do. Many ups and downs paved the road to the altar and it seemed as if the devil did the best he could to keep them apart. Secrets and faith, love and racism–the emotional journey was well worth it! True love endures in the end!
Please enter me in the Romancing the Reader’s Valentine’s Give. I would love to win and share with my 16 yr old daughter.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
I’ve just “met” Patricia through friends of friends on Facebook, and look forward to getting better acquainted through the intriguing titles shown on the website.
I enjoyed the couple in Millwood Hollow series. I like how the woman and man dealt with their issues to come together. (It was awhile since I read the series so I am blanking on the names.)
I’ve read the first two books in the Millwood Hollow series and Sandpebbles and Katrina’s Wings. I haven’t read the rest of your books yet.
I have not yet had the pleasure of reading one of your books. Not sure who sells them. But knowing the Author for many years growing up, I truly believe they will be very inspiring. Patricia has always had a warm caring heart and I believe those qualities will be alive in the characters in all of her books. Anything that Patricia writes I believe will be a book that you can’t put down till the last page, and that you will feel like you really know the hopes, fears and hearts of each character she writes about.
I just love all Pattys books. I’m enjoying the Millwood Hollow series now. Love the connection of Jeb and Fern.
Cant wait to read one of your books!
Can’t wait to read some of your books Patty, will be looking for them the next time I head to Waco!
Love, love, love your books!
Dear Ms. Hickman, Thank you ever so much for your coming to Torrence Creek today, February 16, 2010 to speak to the three graders. I enjoyed watching many of the children listen in amazement and perhaps thinking up additional stories of their own to write in the future. I shall look forward to your upcoming book “The Pirate Queen”. Though your version is different from the character I portray at Renaissance Festivals, I eagerly await to see it out on bookstores shelves come August. Write on! Elsbeth
